Kelly's Culinary Adventure Unfolds
Kelly's journey began in Philly kitchens with her Mom, Nana and Aunts and found its way to Louisville. She dreamed of sharing her love for feeding people, sharing the love of God and creating a community around every table (whereeva that table may be).
D. Kelly was given a vision to provide an avenue that would deliver the true Philly Cheesesteak & Hoagie experience with her gourmet spin. Ensuring the staple ingredients were authentic in nature (meat and rolls) with her added secret marinade to make every sandwich burst with flavor.
This vision became a mission with a purpose to feed people (physically) and FEED people (spiritually).
So please know that in addition to satisfying your Phix we will also be sowing seeds of Love.

Hey, Hey, Hey Y'all! I am the Owner & Chef of Philly Phixens, D. Kelly B. I was born and raised in Philadelphia (Philly), the home of the Philly Cheesesteak & Hoagie. I developed a love for cooking and food at a young age, watching my Mom cook. I left Philly to serve my country in the Air force, using the skills I learned from my mom & enhancing them while serving in the military. In addition to serving in the dining hall, my place was the place for my brothers and sisters in arms to gather, eat & fellowship. Her military service was shortened due to injury but her love for cooking remained. Kelly’s dream was to share her gift of cooking with others in some way. Once back home, Kelly & her children relocated to Illinois and civilian life began. In addition to her FT job, Kelly was looked to as the Family Caterer & was encouraged to become just that. She partnered with her niece to establish TKOoo Socialite creations, which offered event planning and catering. Kelly then relocated to Louisville to be close to her Addies (adult children). Experiencing the dissatisfaction of local "Philly Cheesesteaks", she saw the need for and was given the vision to establish a place to get & experience an Authentic Philly Cheesesteak & Hoagie and Philly Phixens was birthed.
